KFC ‘LipSTICK’

On the 29th of July, the world (or at least the fried chicken world) celebrates National Chicken Wing Day. But at KFC, every day is wing day, so we decided to celebrate another national day… National Lipstick Day. On the 29th of July 2020, we launch the world’s very first KFC favoured lipstick.

At Iris, we oversaw parts of the KFC account and during that time we were presented with a proactive idea by the creative's Hector & Isobel to launch a KFC flavoured lipstick. We developed the idea from its spoof social post into the physical lipstick. We puckered up our lips to taste samples, developed flavours and nibbled over names. Then Covid hit and we were stuck in our tracks. Later, the idea was delivered by KFC's PR agency Freuds.

At launch, the word was on everyone’s lips, featuring in The Metro, The Evening Standard, OK Magazine, Daze & Confused and The Daily Star.
